What really helped me was adding daily reflections to part of my daily routine. While the journey is never easy, AA helps its members to develop healthy coping techniques by providing different meetings and activities to help keep them focused on their journey to better health. Luckily, Alcoholics Anonymous was an amazing group that gave me the tools to help me break my bad habits and start over.
